As a result of people taking advantage of our Auction Service many photographs appear regularly on eBay. You are welcome to search eBay for anything that takes your fancy. But why not buy direct, at a fixed price, without all the uncertainty of the auction process.
Here are some descriptions of the batches of photographs which we cycle through eBay.
Remember all the photos cannot be on auction all the time and some will appear rarely if at all, but all photographs described here are always available:
Batch “DW”

Highlight of this batch are some wonderful colour shots of the Rainhill Cavalcade. Our photographer picked a wonderful position and got some clear uninterrupted shots of the exhibits as they trundled past him. The rest of the collection is in Black and White and documents the decline of Steam in the 1960’s. Shots were taken at Reading (SR) Shed, Doncaster and Wolverhampton Low Level – many GWR express locomotives. Also some shots of early diesels, including “Peaks” in all over-green without a sign of yellow warning ends.
Batch “GNT”

Documenting the demise of the Waverley Route and the Callander & Oban lines, some wonderful shots both before and after closure. These photos have been in very high demand on eBay and have been the subject of intense bidding. Also some wonderful shots of Railtours in Scotland featuring celebrity steam locomotives.
After a cautious start our photographer is so thrilled with the results of our scanning service that he has promised more and larger batches, "never mind the cost" and that from a Scotsman!! But of course he is a canny Scot and knows that the profit share scheme will pay for the scanning service.
Batch “PGB”

Our photographer is a “sun god” – everywhere he goes the sun shines and clear blue skies feature in most of his pictures. Based in the South-East but with travels as far as Wick and Dawlish, this collection is heavily biased towards Multiple Units away from the mainline. But not content to take pictures of the train - the scenery and environment are always important. So branch lines and little stations are a feature of this collection. There is the occasional mainline locomotive, always artistically presented – a real joy of a collection. The first pictures here date from 1970, but with over 1200 pictures we have moved on to 1982 with a new batch being added nearly every week.
